Annie, I love your Heaven on Earth print. Your girl has really become a favorite image that I keep going back to view! I just can't get enough of her. Great work. What are your plans for it?

David Bull, you are so very talented too, wonderful print. I love the colors in the sky and mountains in contrast to the solid colors in the rest of the print.

I just finished reading a very good book which might be of interest to others:

Traditional Techniques in Contemporary Chinese Printmaking, by David
Barker, ISBN 0-7136-6409-6

I saw it reviewed in Printmaking Today and bought my copy through Amazon.
It gives a very nice survey of various Chinese techniques and tools, which
are rather different from the Japanese. It has many diagrams and photos,
and lots of examples of some excellent prints.

Jan, you will be particularly interested in the chapter "Techniques of the
Dabbed Print", which is essentially about deep embossing.

Cheers ....... Charles
