A while back, some of the members of the [Baren] Council were discussing ways in which we could encourage the development of woodblock printmaking, and among the suggestions that came up was the idea of sponsoring a series of awards. Details on how this was instituted can be found on the Awards page of the [Baren] website.
Where does the money come from for these activities? [Baren] of course earns revenue from this Mall, as the suppliers pay us a small percentage on all goods sold here, and this supplies the bulk of our revenue. That is not enough though, to fund all the things that we have undertaken, and that is where this page comes in ... we would like to ask you to consider assisting us with these activities.
If you wish to do so, the form below can be used to make a cash donation to [Baren]. At present, we are unable to provide you with a tax receipt for this, as our status as a 'non-profit organization' is not yet confirmed (we expect to receive this later this year). The only 'benefit' to you is the pleasure from helping us do this work ...
The space for the amount is left blank, and it is completely up to you how much to send, as little or as much as you like. If you wish, your donation will be kept anonymous (known only to the group treasurer); otherwise it will be listed on the Donor's page of this website.
