Oil on Rives Lightweight
This woodpecker can't survive without 80 to 120-year-old living
pine trees, which are disappearing. It spends up to three years
carving out cavities for nests, then pecks holes to make pine resin
flow, which keeps its nestlings safe from rat snakes.
