The print is a chine colle, better known in my house as a "Gumbo" print. It's a combination of whatever left over papers I have on hand, find, or purchase. The process is much like that of preparing a pot of gumbo. The anticipation, The chopping of the ingredients, the cooking and tasting process, the smells, then best of all, the final product which is shared with friends.
This print is dedicated to my granddaughter Alexzandra, 3 ½.
I used oil based ink, Stonehenge Paper, and various rice papers. My plate, from which my prints were made, is cabinet grade birch, ¼' thick.
