Because these sheets must be pasted down with no distortion, I have used a slightly heavier grade of paper than for the original hanshita, and the design is thus not clearly visible. But a few minutes work with a moistened finger will pull away fibres from the back of the paper, making it easily seen. Rubbing too hard will of course pull the paper away from the wood ...
