Carole
if you dampened it correctly the first time, it should be the same the next time you dampen it. The waterbased inks will not usually move at all as the sizing on the paper holds them in place. I have had black offset, but have learned how to make sure that does not happen, you use less and print it twice. Paper will only expand so much and then is pretty stable.
I had a tiny issue with this on the 100 small prints, but found it was because I was using off cuts of paper and the grain went different ways on the paper...it made me a little crazy but doubt anyone else noticed it as the print was so small.
My best

Paper seems to have a memory (much better than mine) - and it goes right back to the size it was when you re-wet it. The colors were not affected. Once they dry they are "set". Like I said, I had nothing to lose when I tossed the prints into the bath, and to my surprise, nothing happened except that the mold went away.

Cheers ~

Posted by: Dave Bull

Just a quick little update this evening ... the first face of the block set for this image is now done:

Any Japanese readers now know exactly what this image is, and where it is taken from. Can any of the overseas readers pin it down?

Subject: Roz Kean?s Ball Bearing Baren works well for large solid areas

I bought one of Roz’s barens, made in Australia, last winter and took it to mi-lab to try and learned that it’s great for printing large solid areas of color. Numabe-san uses a ball bearing baren himself for large areas of printing for which he doesn’t want goma-zuri. He uses it on top of a thin sheet of acetate and puts a little lubrication on the acetate when using the baren.
