Dear All,
Dave Stones here. And thanks for the enquiries... I've not written for ages but
all is as well as it can be in Okazaki. The earthquake was 700 km north but it
was felt down here - with the small office I was in shuddering for quite a
while. It is just awful for the people up north though.
Our city, like most others, have sent their city firemen, doctors and medical
people... even a water supply truck started its long journey from here today -
at the same time three troop-carrying helicopters flew overhead. I've never seen
anything like this though in all the time (38 yrs.) I've been here...
Regards to all, Dave S
RE: Japan friends, San Antonio Baren Summit, show
I am unplugged form the media out here, so Baren was the first news of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan I had.
It is good to hear the "safe" reports coming in from Baren friends, but so many others still to worry about. Keeping prayers going, and wondering if we can do something at the summit to help, there will still be plenty of need in Japan for many months.
Summit Exhibition: International Shipping.. Marilynn, Knowing that is is hard to get framed work across borders, I would like to offer this for you and anyone shipping prints from outside the US: You can send your work unframed, rolled is a tube, and I will loan you a frame for the exhibition.
"[Baren 42892] Dave is okay, summit work (Marilynn Smith)
Le Green. Sorry to say that because I am in the Baja I won't be trying
to ship work to San Antonio for the summit show."...Marilynn"
I am glad you are fine in Japan David, other artists that participate with us are fine also.
Sue I like your brown print with faces. How did you do the white faces? Is this moku hanga?
Saludos, Guadalupe
