Tyrus, your website is fascinating (as are you). I enjoyed looking at your artwork, reading your bio and watching the video on wood cutting. I, too, felt a little chill up the spine as you sharpened the tool dry. Welcome back to Baren. I would encourage all Bareners to take a look. I had to remove the word "news" off your web address as my browser couldn't get there with it. Impressive work, Tyrus. Intriguing altarpieces, etchings and watercolors. I can't even imagine the amount of work you put into your pieces.

Nice to see you again, Tyrus, and a real pleasure to visit your web
site and catch up on your recent work. I spent over an hour roaming
around the site and reading a number of the entries in your
thoughtful and excellent blog. Thanks for speaking up on Baren Forum.
best,
Annie B

Subject: We Are Pilgrims: the Book!
Posted by: Annie B
I'm happy to announce that my "Pilgrim series" of woodblock prints is now available in book form! Printed on thick paper with a slight gloss finish and available in either hard or soft cover, We Are Pilgrims showcases all 15 woodblock prints from the series, which was created between November 2008 and July 2010.
As followers of this blog know, these 15 prints examine the lives of the first wave of colonists in North America and their interactions with the native peoples who already occupied the land. The book is 72 pages and includes short prose-poem text that weaves through the images, describing the stories that inform each print.
