Hello all,
In exchange 44, I was able to send my prints in a 'Priority Mail' envelope
(fit perfectly) from the US post office, for $4.95. Beautiful! I am looking
forward to recieving my set.
I am not sure why my blog misses the boat for the blogspots, but if you would
like to see the progress on my Pocketbook Project it can be found at
www.miravistastudioarts.blogspot.com. Hope you'll stop by and see.
It is interesting to begin a project without all of the details worked
out so you can navigate as they come up, and believe me the challenges come
me up when you least expect it. As printmakers there is a wonderful and
creative problem solving part of the process that I really enjoy. If I
cannot find a solution -- I find a good collage to work on -- and incorporate
rate the abandoned problems into something else. I was able to show three
of my screen/folding/books recently at a poetry group's reading room. There
ere is always a good option with Art!
Printing happily,
Renee
from the Liquid Sunshine state, Oregon.
Hi Barener's;
I would like to collage a piece from one woodcut--on fairly thick paper--onto another woodblocked paper--also thick but not the same.
I'm worried that if I do it chine colle style I'll lose the embossing I've got by running it all through the press.
How can I get glue on the back without everything getting wrinkled?
Should I try just gluing dry paper onto dry paper? Press with my baren?
If I try dampening the back paper and gluing it chine colle-style should the piece I'm gluing down be damp? Will it work if my paper is medium-weight?
Thanks,
Andrew Stone
Andrew,
there is some amazing double stick stuff from 3-m that will do this for you and is so thin you will not know it is there...I am not at home but when I get there I will send you the name of it... so you only want to do one or a bunch? I can send you a foot or two of it as it is a little spendy if you only want to do a small amount, I think what I have is about 16 inches wide.
My best
Barbara
I have no knowledge of this seller or of this press. I'm
forwarding it from another list....
