Apologies if someone has mentioned it - consider a two colour print - ink up block as per intaglio, then roll the relief in another colour.

Thanks for posting that wonderful video Julio. It is a gorgeous image, it recently won an award here in Oz. As part of the process, the artist mentioned applying a a hardener onto the plastic after it had been carved. Would any one have any idea what this would be. Last year I printed an image using three blocks, and over printed intalio with collograph and relief. I am interested inmaking a large image in this fashion, but am unsure of the plastic plate that I would use; the one at the local store comes only in certain sizes, and they just bring it in from somewhere else. I suppose there would be the probabiity of the plastic plate warping as well. Choices beween oil and water based inks could avoid this. At this point I am just thinking aloud, any input would be much appreciated.

Hello all,

I am coming out of lurker status in to the full light of forum. I'm
Midge Black, my website is midgeblack.com. I sell my work through
Artful Home which I urge everyone to google and check out, it's a
good organization and they could use more printmakers!

In re Aine Scannell's comments about wood intaglio: I wonder if wood
engraving is the answer to her question. It is usually carved on
"Resingrave" blocks these days but historically it was done using the
sawn end of the block. I believe that McClains carries engraving
tools. I've tried engraving once and found it more difficult than
my feeble little fingers could manage.

There are many many places where you can have a folio within a website.
Some of them are very aesthetically pleasing and might be worth considering
as a stopgap or in addition to getting your own website.
Ps do let us know where to visit online, once you get yourself established
!!
