oooops i meant to say
Thanks Linda,
It was your post and blog that inspired me so thank you!
Yes, we are having a Baren Summit in San Antonio in June, 2011.
Though I have been quiet about it lately, I have not stopped working on it.
I have had a bit of family and personal trouble that has been slowing things down, but we have a committment for the StoneMetal Press Studio and I have at least 6 free sleeping places for Summiteers.
I have also been talking to some galleries and museums about highlighting Japanese woodcut and other relief in exhibitions around that time, and also am planning a trip to Austin, whick is only an hour away and has some great printmaking studios and museum collections.
I am a bit alone, I am trying to recruit some local printmakers to
become Bareners and to help with the planning.
IF there is anyone lurking out there from the San Antonio region, please make thyself known!
Some of my artist friends are volunteering to help. and we will be having a meeting this month. ( would have alredy had it, but Shirleen's ancient car had a bit of ill health, just before her arrival.
Yours,
Le Green Schubert
