Subject: FOLLOW UP - PHILLY

Southern Graphics has come and gone, and after my tirade earlier about the planning for the show, I humbly admit that it went fairly well. The allotted time was pretty slim, but the vendors, as always, were pretty inventive . Simply put, we just stayed until close to 5 pm the second day.
I don't know the total registration for the conference, but it was fairly substantial - probably less than Chicago last year, but given the economy, it was better than expected. There were a few new vendors, some who returned for the first time in years, and the old standbys. Once again, the number of students in attendance was fantastic. I think the longest travel involved was from Argentina, but I saw delegates from England, Alaska and Italy - and I wasn't looking too hard.
I want to extend my thanks to the Philadelphia organizing committee for a well run show and a great facility.
