You should be able to find CMYK swatch books on Amazon. 'The Process Color
Manual' is very thorough, and the 'related items' links on Amazon ought to put
you the way of some more.
Hope this helps,

Hi All,
I just wanted to mention that I took a pochoir workshop last weekend - if you ever get a chance to try this printmaking technique I would strongly encourage it! It's a stencil based printing technique that is something like a cross between silkscreen and painting... the images are very subtle and can be infinitely tweaked in colour and gradation so are far less flat than screen. It was amazing to see the images emerging, and in some ways the images reminded me of the subtlety of moku hanga - except that the stencils take a fraction of the time to 'carve'.
I found this online exhibit that people might be interested in:

Lee - this is really interesting - I often (as do many others) combine
stencils with woodcut printing - what material did you use to make the
stencils in the pochoir workshop?
Louise
Thanks, Connie - don't know how your card disappeared?!

I would also be interested to know what type of paint you used for this - was it oil or watercolor based?

Seriously, Gang...
What happened to February? I mean, I must have blinked and missed it somewhere and woke up to find myself in mid-March! Before March gets completely away, I'd better get to the official announcement about Exchange 45!
As you may remember, this exchange is designated as a "themed" exchange. The size will be oban ( about 15 x 10 inches or 38 x 25.5 cm) and as always, woodblock and linoleum relief prints are perfectly acceptable, as well as your choice of moku hanga, water-based, or oil-based inks. There were so many great suggestions made for the last themed exchange, I can't wait to hear what your ideas are for this one. So let's hear it! We'll take suggestions for a week or so, let's say until the 25th of March, and then we'll take a vote on the suggestions and announce the results. Sign-ups will open on April 1st!
****Just a reminder to those in Ex. 44--the final day to drop from the exchange without penalty is also April 1st. Delivery of your finished prints is due May 1st to coordinator Julio Rodriguez. Julio should be contacting you shortly. Please be sure to reply to his message to let him know that you are, in fact, participating.
****
Let the brainstorming begin!

I love themed exchanges!
Has there ever been a theme: Home?
