Hello every-inky-one,
Aahhh, of course now I wish I had signed up for the OX card exchange. I was
in the middle of finishing a difficult woodcut so I didn't feel I could do
it justice BUT I did do an OX as a kind of lark (comic image, ox head on
male nude). I will carve it and print for some friends yet. However, it is
lovely to receive cards through the year and there is no need to be "guilty"
about being late (in my humble opinion.)

Soooo, I really appreciate folks who post their cards. The colours of your
card, Carole, are just wonderful. Your process comments are also very
useful to us beginners! Eventually I will arrive at colour printing too!!!
And I really loved your card, Andrew, and your attached research about
Chinese cattle.

Thank you, everyone. What a wonderful group to stimulate my learning
curve!!

I agree with Shelley - it is so much fun seeing this herd of Oxen
flowing in from the mailbox daily. Jan, yours is just way too
beautiful to be an ordinary ox. Truth be told they are all way to
beautiful to be mere oxen. They must be Super Oxen. But, I do dearly
love the envelope and stamp from Australia. I'm sure that our
struggling USPS will have nothing like that, but if they do I will use
it. Which brings me to: when I get around to carving the block and
getting it printed. My apologies for being late. There is no excuse
except that I am getting a late start this year. In fact, I started
the year behind the 8 ball, and am working hard to catch up, but seem
to be falling further and further behind. I'm sure having fun, though!

Cheers ~

I agree with Sharri!
I am really enjoying the Cattle Drive, seeing them arrive in ones and twos to the mailbox. And Jan's envelope and card from Down-under are exceptional - thank you! (I also received Linden's that day, too - thank you! )
I, too, have been playing catch-up all year. But I've started on my Ox. I'm not happy with the way it's going, so I keep changing it.
But, the plan is to finish them up this next week.
I always wonder what the mailman thinks about all this...hmmmm.

Head 'em up and Move 'em out!

This blog has been idle, but I haven't! I'm finally getting past the writer's block that had me stopped in my tracks.

I've been busy chairing a gallery committee in the Stutz Business Center in Indianapolis where I have my studio. It is an old car  factory that is home to 70-80 artists and many businesses.

Not only that, but I have been not only printing and working with fiber, but I'm doing WATERCOLOR!!! Who knew? Never thought I'd see the day.

The piece above is 6"x8" and is in the show 'Heart" at the StutzArtSpace Gallery.

I've also finished two print editions for 2 different print exchanges. More on that later.
