Thank you all for your responses re: waiting list prints. I know they'd never go to waste but I didn't think about using them in an unthemed exchange! [Slapping head]
I am done with two blocks/colors now on my exchange print. And so far I am pretty happy with the progress. I have a few observations to share:
1. I have sure noticed the difference that in this new house we moved to, printing in winter dries out the block very fast. (21 degrees F here this morning, with wind chill of 7). I'm not having a problem with the paper. I'm keeping it between to damp blotters in a dry cleaning bag. I put it into the enclosed unheated porch at night.
2. As this is the largest edition I've done, I need to book a massage. Soon.
3. Good music makes the day go, not neccesarily faster, just more peaceful. I highly reccomend Seal's new "Soul" CD. If you love the old soul sound, you will really enjoy this one. And throw in a little Charlie Parker too.
4. I love the paper I got from the Baren Mall - Azusa. It's a beautiful paper.
5. Start the crock pot early or order in. Tonight..........pizza. And cake. It's my birthday!
6. Tomorrow is another day and another color. I'm hoping to get it done by the weekend.
I wish you all the same luck I've had so far!
Linda
Mary, your prints have arrived.
Looking forward to those final shipments, when I start looking inside the
boxes!

Thank you for the thoughts shared on list and off about the problem
of fibers lifting from my paper. I've just brushed a thin layer of
sizing on a few of my proofs (with 22nd impressions now) so I'll
guess I'll know tomorrow if I can keep going or call the last month a
"learning experience". Gulp!
Cheers!

ps Printing is still my favorite part of the process. Planning, too.
Would be interested to know if the sizing helps...
Thanks,
