Shawn, I'd try out a wood engraving tool like the spitsticker on your
vinyl before buying one; wood engraving tools don't work well on
vinyl. On (end-grain) wood you sort of chip your way through as you
sever the wood fibres. On vinyl those same tools just plow themselves
into the material. The engraved material doesn't break off in a
controlled manner; it tears off ragged patches.
To get the crosshatching on your vinyl sample I used the 'v' and 'u'
shaped tools I use on lino.

Public Galleries are funded by the Federal and Provincial governments.
If they charge for these kinds of functions.... They could loose there
funding.
