My cairn package arrived to day and I spent the next several hours going over every inch, and reading the collophon. It's amazing how well the final image is balanced when you know that the individual pieces were done with out any kowledge of what the others were doing.
This is such a special group of people. I don't know of any othere group that shares their knowledge and expertise as freely as this one. Then there is the added bonus of letting the inexperienced participate with the professionals. Wow! What a group.
I would love to display my carin in it's entirety, but I don't have a wall big enough. Sooooo! Maria how about bringing up your jack hammer, jigsaw and what ever else you have, and I'll get out the automatic nailer and locate some lumber. We can put up a single wall with a window in the front yard to hold it. Or do you think we should add a full room to accomodate the next one too?
I think I just signed on for the next one too.
Thanks for a great project Maria!

In response to my earlier question, Annie Bissett mentioned using
pigment dispersions right from the bottle, adding only the desired
amount of water and rice paste. I tried this with some success, but
noticed that the pigments have a more pronounced rewetting effect than
Akua Kolors. Would this be alleviated by using a binder? I'm a little
worried about offsetting.
Thanks,
Alex
