Andrew,
Welcome aboard. Maybe, when you are in Florence, you are not too
terribly far from Colleen Corradi and her new Art Center and can make
use of the opportunities she affords. I know she is in Castiglione,
or the Art Center is, but my visual map of Italy is pretty minimal. I
know that Italy is the country that looks like a boot. LOL Also,
when you're in Santa Cruz you are not far from Frank Trueba - so maybe
you two can get together to discuss printmaking. As for posting
images to the baren, I think you can post to the Baren Blog, or use
Flickr or one of the other web based photo sites. Looking forward to
seeing your work, and good luck with the organic veggies - I depend on
you folks for my food source.
Cheers ~
Sharri
Hello everyone,
I'm starting to experiment with the Guerra pigment dispersions, and I
mixed some watercolor vehicle from the recipe in the Mayer book. I'm
worried because the light tan gum arabic powder turned into
not-quite-as-light tan solution, which I suspect will affect the colors.
Am I using the wrong stuff? Or doesn't it matter that much? I'll
probably try it any way just to see what happens, but I have a hard
enough time trying to hit the color I see in my head.
Thanks,
Alex
