I am new to the Forum and I have learned a great deal. Welcome, I love your web page, the paintings are great. The most I liked are the ones with a figure of a person like the man thinking. I am in the process of making a blogspot just for prints and drawings.

Happy Easter everyone!
Strange that "tool sharpening" would come up this morning, even briefly. I chipped off the tip of my hanga knife, who knows how, probably just pushed wrong with a little pressure. So I got out the waterstone and this morning repaired it. I was one of those non tool persons, who had no clue how to sharpen a tool. I bought a waterstone with grooves for the tools to fit into. Now, I am sorry because I use the flat surface on the side much more than any grooved areas. I suggest getting a few good quality stones and throw fear to the wind and start learning. You have a lot of blade on a good tool and it will not take you long to figure out that you only sharpen the end of the blade, it is a small area and that is all you use for cutting. Keep your angle consistent and go for it. Ilive where I can not send out tools to be aharpened, so if i drop one break a tip or get it knicked in any way I have to do it myself. I encourage this for everyone because I was the most non tool person around and if i can do it anyone can! Now I will be ordering a few new stones along with another cutting tool.
Happy printing.
