Hi,

I run Spudnik Press in Chicago, and am gradually adjusting to having many
people use my equipment that were trained in different places by different
people, and thus use the equipment differently. Well, last week I realized
that someone printed a wood cut by putting it in between the etching
blankets. So right on the press bed was the cushion blanket, then the wood,
the paper, then the sizing catcher, and the pusher on top. I've always
printed oily woodblock prints with just the pusher on top. Is there an
advantage to having a blanket underneath that I don't know about, or is this
as unconventional as it appears to me?

After too many months, my piglet is ready to join the other boars of 2007. Feeling very embarrassed, they are raring to go and will be in Tuesday's mail.
