Jean,
If you're using a Mac it's Control + to enlarge the type.

Hi Everybody,
I'm not able to reply to individuals by clicking on the
place at the top of each individual post or for that
matter to reply to the group that way. I can go to my
email and reply like I would a regular email but only
to the whole group. Is this because I use a Mac? Or
is it because I get the digest form of the list?

Annie

Thank you very much for your "Prostrations" blog of Feb. 9th.
A wonderful surprize for me. In keeping with printmaking, I think the first image of the prostrated figure is a print.
Powerful and simple.

I am writing you here, because I can't leave a message on the blog as a non-member.

Forehead on the ground. Thanks again.
The possibilities make my spirit fly!!
Your long colour print is also marvelous. Good work, and good practice, Annie!

Hello everyone,

I've been using the Kurosaki disk baren, and it works well for most of what
I've tried so far, but I feel the need for something stronger on large flat
areas of color. Are all the ball-bearing barens in the baren mall noticeably
stronger than the disk baren, or should I stick with the models with fewer
bearings? How about smooth-running vs. stiff-running models, is there any
advantage to the latter besides relative quiet? Finally, I'm also considering
the strong Murasaki baren, but I'm worried that I don't print enough to keep
the barengawa in good shape or to become proficient in its care and
replacement.

Thanks,
Alex

Are there any Baren members in Phoenix or Tucson or Arizona in general.
I may be relocating back to AZ and just wondered.
Thanks.

I tried using the Korokoro baren (from the Mall) last year, and it
saved my life when doing the background of the scroll print I was
making then.

I used it with a very thin sheet of lightly-oiled mylar in place over
the back of the paper, and it performed very well indeed. (I also
appreciate saving the wear and tear on my expensive hon barens ...)
