Greetings Bareners and Lurkers,
My latest prints are taken from the remaining drawings in my sketchbook recording Romanesque bas relief animals and, out of context, St. George attacking a dragon.
He is of a later age and because of his high status is gilded in gold!
I have incorporated a hyperlink " latest prints " within my main website.

I also did all of the potato prints and little lino prints when I was in grade school, but they did not grab me. What I wanted to do was draw, draw, draw. Forget painting, forget sculpting, forget anything else. Just give me a pencil and a piece of paper and I was transported. Then I went to college and studied pre-veterinary. How I loved the labs that required me to draw. But in the early 60's vet schools were not taking women. I got a letter telling me that because there were so few vet schools (only 6 at the time as I recall) they suggested I find something else to do- I could always be a nurse. SO I switched to art (what a journey) but all I wanted to do was draw. However I was told that I couldn't just draw. Drawing was something you did to prepare for another medium.
That made me angry. SO I wandered the art department building looking for something that allowed me to draw. Voila- I wandered into the printmaking studio and discovered etching. I had found a home. Soon I was doing silkscreen and relief prints also- and that is what I have been doing for the last 40 years.
