Hi Baren-fellows,

After two days I finally have the images up on my website from my
most recent exhibition. They are not woodblock, but I hope you will
find them of interest, anyway. They are solar plate intaglio. There
is a title in the navigation site in the header of the website for
viewing the exhibition as it was hung at North Bank Gallery - just
click on North Bank Exhibition. I hope you have a minute to take a
look and give me some feedback –

I ran into a press-shop owner tonight while working
the polls during this general election and he offered
me a Chandler and Price press, 9 x12, which needs new
rollers.
I was busy working at the time, so, as my Rozeann took
down the barest of contact information for me about
this press, I thought I'd ask here if anyone can let
me know anything about these presses, quirks,
strengths, space requirements.

Does anyone know of a site with model info and pics
and is anyone using one for woodcuts?

Any info is welcomed, as I am strictly a hand-printer
up to this point and need to learn everything new.

Cheers, Eli

Eli,

I think Briar Press will give you the information you are looking for.
Go to and then go to their Museum of
Printing Presses. It will tell you all about your press. I wish
somebody would offer me a press.

My 2 cents:
Eli, I am strictly a hand printer, too, and I wouldn't want to change. To
me, that's part of the fun, beauty, and value. It allows for all the
printing creativity possible when doing a small edition of 10 or 20 and it's what
I'm after. My collectors appreciate that..
