hello Bareners
I am doing some drawings with white ink on a black ink wash (on paper).
my question is about the white ink. the ink separates in the ink jar very rapidly. I have been shaking it up (a lot) to mix the pigment with whatever the carrier liquid is. the result has been very lame, washed out white colour on the black background. this was not so bad when I was using a brush to paint with. I am now trying to do calligraphy, etc. and using a dip pen. the pigment seems to resist getting re-mixed.
I am using Winsor Newton white ink and Dr. Ph. Martin's white India ink.
any suggestions? thanks in advance.
Oscar
I donšt know if a gel pen would work for you, but the white ones generally
go over black quite well.

For covering a dark color I would try Winsor Newton white watercolor or
better yet a gouache-- Turner Design . Hope it works.

The Iraq Exchange will be mailed in two days. The web page will go up by
week's end.
I collated today and gathered most of the colophon and print details,
scanned the prints and made web images.
This means that any participants have exactly one (1) day to:
-send me any updates on the colophon or print info, I have print details for
some but not all, which is okay if all you want is your name and print title
- VERY IMPORTANT send me address corrections; I have new address for
Colleen, Wouter, Kim, any others?
-send me any information that you want or don't want for the web pages
Thank you all for the exciting surprises in the packages and the
encouragement messages. All US prints will go out Priority Mail; all world
prints will go out Global Priority. Colleen's will go out Registered Mail.
Any other mailing instructions, I need them ipso facto.
That's all folks!
Maria
