I recently changed my e mail address with things still filtering thru my old address. I realized Baren did not recognize my new address and posts were not going thru. So I un subscribed and then subscribed... manager, is this a correct way ?
and finally I have gotten to finish printing my Year of the Boar card (I know shame on me) and wish to send out. while traveling I remember getting some change of address posts, can those of you w/ a changed address on Boar card list let me (us ) know the new one again..Thanks!!

Thanks Mike - I'm off to find my collection of Grimm's Fairy Tales and see
what might make an interesting print.

Hi Lana,
Welcome back to Baren, sounds like you had a rough go of it since 'Shunga'
but we are all glad to have you back on the Forum and wishing you the best
going forward.....
Elizabeth.....happy Birthday !!! I too want a new press for my birthday !
Mike, great job choosing a theme for #35.... I think with our
international audience it will be interesting to see which Fairy Tales get
represented...

Greetings to all in the Baren Forum,
I am Mary Grassell, a new artist to the group, though I have been around for many years.
Currently I am a professor of Graphic Design at Marshall University in Huntington WV. In a parallel life I am also a printmaker, book artist, and letterpress learner. Next semester I will be teaching a class in Book Making and letterpress. I am excited to do this after so many graphic design and computer courses.
My printmaking method of choice is the woodcut. I have been working for the past 15 years on my technique and have had some success. I am currently in three shows at the moment, and I show my work constantly. I also do some illustration when I have the opportunity. I have an etching press in my studio at Main Street Studio in Hurricane West Virginia where I live. But my woodcuts are printed by hand. I use a combination of multiple block and reduction printing, and my prints are large (for woodcuts), have many colors, are quite complicated, and take a long time to complete. I have begun to combine woodcut with screen printing, embossing and monoprinting, as well as acrylic and watercolor. I am also a wood engraver and belong to the Wood Engraver's Network. I learned this from Jim Horton at the Frogman's Print and Paper Workshops in Vermillion, South Dakota.
I am thinking about what to do for the "Fairy Tales" which will be my first exchange with the Baren group. I have done other exchanges, and this one sounds like fun.
I have read emails for the last few months from the membership, and I feel that I know some of you. I especially paid attention to the "linoleum birthday party" exchange today as I work in linoleum, too.
Anyway, I wanted to introduce myself and plan to be a steady contributer.
