I have been using Createx pure pigments on my woodcuts lately. They give a very strong color and can be printed with minimum rice paste. It completely changes the look of the print, but it seems to suit my style. April's class really gave me the kick in the pants that I needed to get back to work on the woodblocks.

I call my dog Westie, my suicide-prevention dog because I need someone or something to care about since my husband has not lived with me for the last five years, since the war started. My Wesie gives me an anchor, some reason to go home at night. Also, I can hug him and hold on to him when people start harassing me and making fun of me. That has been a too-common occurence in my life, but it is standard fare for disabled people.
