Hi Viza & Bareners
Working in series is very good. Painter Robert Genn (who writes a
newsletter on the 'Net) said something useful about this: working in
series allows our work to grow out of our own work, ie. we influence
ourselves and our own process. You indicate this yourself already, Viza,
when you say that you've done 6 drawings and already they seen to form two
separate groups.
I also draw and then carve. Going directly to the block without drawing
first is an act of great courage! Go for it!
My cards are going in the mail this weekend and I look forward to yours.

Bea, ordered some of the boxes from Dick Blick, have not used them before.
They state that they are archival and certainly seem to have a good price
tag.
Bea, your retrospective is quite an undertaking, congragulations.
Jeanne, nice to have you back. I especially like your monotypes and your
collagraphs. Just me, I am fonder of things that are more abstract, but
overall very impressive work.
Julio, thanks for your hard work and carole too, the Boars are fun, along
with all the other years of prints.
I sent after five my link. It is the whole blog and most has been viewed
before on the list, actually have not updated it much. But wanted to show
the odd plate I have been trying to print. The top is the latest, the bird
prints and plate. Got more paper and will experiment some today with this.
Criticism is always welcomed.

I hope you have a wonderful time at your retrospective, Bea. I wish we could visit in Southern CA at that time. However, Howard is racing his motorcycle in Baja this week and may not want to make the trip south so soon again. I should just get in my car and start driving, huh? I loved seeing all your cheerful prints on your blog site. I remember how you had them displayed in your dining room. It made a big impression on me--that and the Munakata prints at the L.A. museum. We all miss Jack.

Dear Jeanne,
Loved going through your pages. You are a very clever artist and I
simply loved your pencil drawings and the flair of your woodblocks
several of which I have in my exchange collections. Thank you for
sharing these with us.
Well done.
