Maria, it is amazing how much paper figures into a good print. I once had a
plate that I knew was a good composition and when I ran the darn thing on
plain white paper with black ink it was horrible. After searching about for
the right paper I had an image that people oooed and awed over. That paper
does indeed look amazing, congratulations to both you and your papermaker,
you work well together.

Mike, hmm. That was not your usual image. I must agree with your friend.
Your inventions are amazing. Funny thing I have found is that when I think
I have messed up some times it is better. Like this morning I woke up to
see a watercolor that I did some years back. (framed and on the wall in our
bedroom) I knew the model as both a fellow artist and a model. She was very
pretty. She had dressed for this pose instead of doing a nude. She put on
a slinky slip and a womans* hat with a feather. I knew this gal had a
rather shady lifestyle and when I was finished she looked like a floozie. I
was a bit embaressed to have that happen. When she saw it she said, hey
that is more like me than you realize. I had gotten something beneath the
surface, not screwed up like it felt at first. Now I really enjoy this
piece as one of my best.
