Congrats on the tax status! A good day for celebration. Well you
might ask who those crazy drivers are who are out skidding around today
-- one of those would be me. LOL Actually, we didn't have any snow
stick to anything over 6" above street level so it was no big deal, but
it felt crazy, I have to admit, to be out driving all over creation
with the snow swirling all about me. I finally came to my senses about
4 o'clock and came home and built a fire and settled in. This morning
we have a crust of snow on a few things, but it is melting fast and the
sun was out a minute ago. Of course, now it's gone again. You gotta
be quick around here!
YOO HOO! All you Alphabet Exchange people! Dec. 1 is rapidly
approaching and is the last day to withdraw and get a W on your record,
so if you need to back out, please let me know asap so we can move the
next person up to take your exalted spot!
Cheers, and happy snow day ~

I have been on the board of a 501C3 organization and they have some restrictions, too. Like, for example, you can have no more than 50% (fifty percent) of the board members on the payroll at any one time. And you still have to pay payroll taxes on the people you employ.

P.S. to my last post. We had a board member who reminded us gently of those rules and restrictions at every meeting we had, and we met once a month. The rest of the board members had dollar signs in their eyes. Like a seminar in how to be an art department chair.
