hi Murilo, Wanda, Maria, et al
many thanks for your thoughts and experiences on "drawing white on black."
you expressed yourself quite well, Murilo. and you pointed out one thing I was doing with this,
that is, I was getting lost in my black on white sketches,
and by reversing the process for myself, I got out of my own log-jam,
and the images flowed again. thanks for that, Murilo!
and this somewhat relates to your comment, Maria, on sketching being an "intermediate translation process".
I will be doing more direct carving without sketches at times to experience this difference for myself directly.
your comments give much food for thought.
by the way, I am not able to provide images yet, as I don't have the computer hardware to do that.
thanks, everyone,
chisel on,
Oscar
Hi All,
This is off topic but the email system at my work has changed and now
will not acknowledge Clive Lewis's email. Clive - please let me know if
you got my email last week. (I've tried this once already and had the
baren list bounced back - we'll see what happens this time and I'm sorry
if this actually does go through twice...)
Thanks,
Lee.
