Bea and others, the non-working of the ironing also may have had to do with the type of xerox machine. Different machines have different toner, some of which works better than others.

Bea and all,
It must have been the copy machine because I think you were probably
using my iron and it definitely gets hot enough (it is an old one).
Some of the newer irons just don't seem to get hot enough. Amy Stoner
had a little tool you can use as an iron, I think they run around $20
and are available from several places that carry woodworking tools. I
bought one and tried it, but my trusty old iron did just as well, so
back it went.

Along with Sarah's 2¢ worth you now have 4¢ worth,
Sharri

I've wondered about scanning and printing onto fairly non-absorbent
paper using an inkjet, then transferring that immediately using a baren.
I've had inkjet prints that took a while to dry, so there must have been
wet ink hanging around for a while.

Just a thought.
