Hey printers and carvers,
Life is finally slowing down a bit at my house and I am starting to get excited about the summit. I see we have 24 signed up....well, that will be a nice party but think more of you should come. If you are just waiting around to see what summer brings, get in gear and put yourself on the list. We had over 35 in Kansas City and it was not too many, there was room for all and think Sharri's studio will accomodate as least this many as she has several rooms. We can spread out! We can even move outside if we chose to do so, August is beautiful here.
I plan to have blocks carved so I can work on printing. The printing Dave did last time of my blocks made me weep...I have so much to learn. However, I am not giving up. Tenacious is my middle name. Last time I learned to tie a baren...quite an accomplishment as it takes almost more strenght in one's hands and arms than I have. I now know I need a second person to help....so Ok, I am going to do it with help. My beautiful baren is wearing out...sad but true.
As the mall manager, I plan to bring have some bamboo leaves available for all of us to use for trial. I am placing the order soon, so there will be at least one for each participant. If we get a lot of oily people...there will be two for some of us!
The last summit was a fabulous time for eveyone, so sign up and come to the Pacific Northwest. You won't be sorry....we are planning a very good time.
