Dear Dan,
> Is it too late for my dog to play?

When I was writing out my envelopes I missed your name and Megan's and
checked my list again to see if I had written it automatically without
thinking, but no it wasn't there.............

I will gladly send you one of mine. What about Megan?

Thank you Julio and Carole,

Yes, my Sari is there and looking a bit sad!! She is very small, but
seems to have made the longest journey to be one of the first to
arrive!!

Just being cheeky!!

Thanks, Guys.

Got a bit of broadband? Got eleven minutes? Here's a direct link to a
video file with a walkround of this year's exhibition:
http://woodblock.com/david/exhibition2006_tour.mov
(11 minutes/17Mb)

It's a bit rough around the edges ... just the raw dump from the camera
while I strolled around the exhibition rooms, but it serves its purpose
I think.

Please 'drop by' and take a look!

I am currently packing up the work for exchange 26. They should be in the
mail this week.
Weather permitting.

for future exchanges pre addressed, stamped padded mailing env. make the
best way to help the exchange cord. The difficulty is that everybody does it
in a different way.

For raw footage, Dave, your exhibition video is delightful! Thank you
for the tour and explanations. Looking forward to your new work this
year as well. How exciting for you to be doing a Scroll! and the small
prints case is a handy and neat design.
Congratulations! (kongurachure-shonzu!)

Just a quick note between printing and carving -- I have just
completed printing (edition of only 5 sheets) the first of eight
blocks on the LARGE woodblock printing press I designed and
fabricated... The paper delivery works like a CHARM and I was able
to quickly and easily register each 42 x 77 inch sheet (of very thin
but strong Iwano Ichibei hosho paper) without a problem -- printing
seemed to be very straight forward -- no wrinkling, no skipped spots,
nothing weird at all -- it just seems to work... 'Course this is
just the first impression of 8, so plenty of opportunity for
surprises left... I'm carving block #2 (actually reducing block #1
into state #2) as I write -- should be ready to print by
morning! I'm feeling very happy and just wanted to share -- I shot
some video and it ought to be on my blog before morning... Pretty
cool day! Yahoo! :-D

Mike, do you think it's time you and I started to think about some kind
of joint show together?

These two guys, exactly the same age, working in the 'same' tradition,
but in such different ways ... what a dynamite exhibition we could put
on!

What do you say?

Any of the New York members know of a good gallery for this in your
town? If we could put it on, the New York Times would come and dance
around the room, I'm sure!
