Sharri, how funny! But my talk is tomorrow. Don't have a lot of time today, getting a new computer installed, have painting on the house to do and have to pack a box up with suplies. But who was this woman forger?

Oooh, Italy! Tell us more, tell us more!

Greetings and salutations fellow baren members, (And a big welcome to
all of you new people who have joined Baren in the last four months!)
After a lengthy absence, during which my life took more twist and turns
than I could ever invent, I am now happily among the well and thriving,
and eager to get on with contributing to my favorite all time site,
Baren Forum. Some of you will recall that I owe you a Rooster card. My
sincere apologies for my tardiness, as I have never been quite this late
in sending out promised prints to Baren! I had initially sent out about
a dozen cards some months ago, but as I have lost the original record of
those to whom I still owe a card, I am requesting that those who live in
the USA, and were signed up for the Rooster exchange, and have not as
yet received a Rooster from me, please contact me off list with their
address and I will then send them their card. Those who live in
countries other than the USA need not contact me as I have their names
and address and have not sent any cards out of the country.
While not contributing to the ongoing dialogue, I have been sort of
'lurking', which is why I know that so many great new people have popped
up on Baren. A handful of you old timers know that Robin Morris and I
met last
April when he came up to Sacramento from Pacifica to videotape a Baren
Forum window display I had mounted in the Art Store at which I work.
Robin now lives in Sacramento, and we are very happily making art
together- handmade books, woodcuts, and lots and lots of drawings,
whenever we get a chance.
We have not forgotten the DVD project for Baren. Now that Robin is
settled in Sacramento, with a space for his computer and editing
equipment, we hope to begin work on it around November, or so. For the
last two months he has been working at a job that has a 90 day probation
period, prior to his gaining Union Status, with the prospect of a
permanent position with benefits, so his time and energy have been of
necessity focused elsewhere than on Baren. We hope to remedy this
following the successful completion of his job probation period.
We also really hope to be able to attend the Summit in August of 06 (See
Julio, I finally got the date right!)
Cheers,
Carol in Sacramento
