Hi,
I just hung an exhibit, including Maria's Baren Puzzle Project at the
Donnell Library Center, 20 W.53 ST. in Manhattan from today until July 28.. It is
just inside the main entrance in a locked glass case. The other cases have
some of my decalcomania (unique prints) and woodblocks.
IMHO The Puzzle Project Print can compete and more with MOMA across the
street.
I asked two ladies to come over so I could take a photo. Then they got very
interested in all the prints. They were an Asian Mother and teenage
daughter, making comments and pointing to many parts of the puzzle. We got into a
question and answer conversation. The teenager pointed to Frank Trueba's
print and said of the characters in it "That's my name in Japanese, 'Wisdom' " .
There's other mounted information about Baren and the brochure. The 2
enjoyed hearing something about David and Maria
