There's been a 'preview' version up for a few days, and it seems OK, so
here we go ... on line!

What do you think, might this sort of thing be actually useful, or just
for a kind of 'joke'?
Dave
neat Dave-
I've been tuning out a bit on Baren lately due to too much work so if someone
has already suggested this- -- would anyone be interested in doing a manga
exchange or maybe even a little flip book manga style- our version of anime. i
think it would be fun- or we could establish a story line and each sign up for
bits of dialogue so we could make a manga comic edition of our own- maybe a
continuation of the life and times of Dave Bull ;-)

Looks good, Dave ... No joke!!!
It is very useful to see this sort of information in photos so nicely
organized. Bound to be helpful for lots of folk.
And it loads reasonably quickly even over my slow phone line.
Cheers .... Charles
I really like this 'comic relief' version of how to 'tie one on'.
Terrific title.
i think this style of presentation is cleanly organized and fun to
follow.
i expected 'Woodblock Man' to jump out of the last scene though :)
way to go, dave!
Bette
oh my...two posts from Bette!
i just had to say that i think bobette's idea is really great. let's do
it!

Oh Mi Gosh!!!
I for one am floored- you are a comic book character, how cool is THAT?
Your star is rising, Dave.
There is no more popular culture than...well, pop culture!
Your instructional comics are Awesome too. I think you are really onto
something .
People do expensive photo books about printing techniques that are not
nearly as clear and detailed. You are giving away the info...thanks
again for promoting education and free information exchange. You are
not a recluse or out of touch for us here in America, or anywhere else
the internet can go.
Keep going, David San- it will work- you might even want to sell
downloads of advanced and more technical info as streaming video.
I have paid 40 bucks for a video on engraving- it was only so-so.
45 more for a nice book on woodblock printing. 200 for an engraving
class...etc etc. and im a newbie.
Point being, if you can use more dough, and who can't...
start a two pronged attack on the net...all your usual free and open
stuff, and special lessons where a person can hit the paypal button and
u are suddenly richer. Or go shareware with it. Suggest that if folks
like what you're doing, they just donate some money so you can do more
and have less pressure economically.
Thats what i think.

Good idea bette!
Dave, at some point, -cut up a cheap kimono and make a cape and a
mask...a big H on yr chest...maybe a fencing foil or
oh of course- a samurai sword...
duck into a phone booth...a gong sounds...
who will be the villain tho?
Termite man?
Bad registration boy?
the Meiji mocker?
Edo avenger?
Giclee Girl?
the possibilities are myriad...
