Hellooo everyone,
I was so silent and just so busy recently preparing my new solo exhibition
here in Pescara. It was a great success although a little tiring! (you can
see something at:
http://www.cittainvisibili.com/artista/onde-en.htm)
Anyways, this post is just to let you know that I am just so happy to hear
about preparations for the new baren summit II. Obviously I can't miss this
one... so I will do my best to be there!
I am looking forward to seeing you all again in 2006!

August 14-18 2006 work fine for me. Still have space on the boat for one or
2 more. Will drive around people in my PT cruiser, seats 4. Hope I got the
Yahoo message, will look, want to help.

Sharri and Gillyin and others wondering what a Humpy is ..... it is an
Australian Aboriginal shelter usually made flat out of sticks and
thickened with bark and branches intertwined, but not woven and propped
up at one end with another stick so that the thick side faces the
weather and the other side open to the elements. It is very
primative. It isn't carried on to the next camp but left where it was
made. Many of our natives also used caves or overhanging rock
formations if they were handy. They are made to suit one or two people
or a family.
These days the only people who would use a humpy would be those on foot
on walkabout but there wouldn't be many of the full blooded natives
doing that these days. Our aboriginals like other country's "first
nation peoples" would use a car, and shelter in it or under it, bunk up
with family, or extended family, but few stay in hotels or motels.

August sounds good to me, especiallyl since it is in the 90's here at that time and the humidity is dense.
Interesting about the Humpy. I have a Rumpy!!!!! (my Manx cat)
Jeanne, still trying to do Hanga!!!!!!!!
Congratulations on your show, Colleen. It is good to hear that you are
active ... I do not recall having seen your posts for a while.

Hello Colleen - I can't seem to access the link - is there another address?

Dates in August 2006 for the next summit should work for me, too.

ps: To access Colleen's site, I noticed a parenthesis mark at the end
of the link which kept it from going to the page. Just remove that in
the address bar on your broswer page, and you should be able to get to
the site fine.

Nice work Bobby, a little slow to load and I have cable, took over 30 seconds for some and almost a minute for the whole page. I like the book and also soul and spiral jam. good job on the woodcuts. Can you make the files smaller or load fewer at once? Might speed it up.
Best to you,
Barbara
Well, this is a good news - bad news story. My old Lexmark C710 color laser
printer died ... motherboard problems ... more expensive to fix than to buy
one of the new printers ... so I got a new Lexmark C510.
I have been using a d-limonene product (a citrus based cleaner) to transfer
laser prints to wood blocks for carving. Well, the d-limonene would not
even touch a print from the new laser printer ... a real pity. However,
acetone (use gloves, do it outdoors) did the transfer just fine. Wonder
what is in those new laser printer inks ???
Cheers ...... Charles
Barbara, Speaking of new web sites...

My solarplate show is up through Feb. then I will move what is left, along with some new stuff, to the new space. I want at least 2 print shows per year in the attached gallery, and some other prints rotating through the space.
I will keep you posted.
