Before I forget, these are three "finds" that I just have to share:

Uline, shipping/packing supplies company, now carries padded art mailers.
After making my own for years, I ran out of "spare time" and had to graduate
to these re-usable beauties. www.uline.com search for art mailer

Nolo.com, Law for All, has a "Protect Your Artwork" e-booklet with the gist
of how to protect your artwork AND! the most needed legal forms for artists
in .pdf format. For 10 bucks, the best I have found. The booklet is here,
but make sure you read many of their articles on Copyrights and Visual Arts.

Brand name "Quick Wood" an epoxy wood putty, will repair engraving blocks
and hold up to detailed engraving and printing. It sticks to small spaces
and large cracks and it is really undistinguishable (in function) from the
surrounding end-grain maple or boxwood after hardening. You can knead it
with your fingers and sand, plane, kick...

This concludes the "tip sheet" for the day.

I am new to the list serve and have read the postings through out the
semester.

I am finishing up teaching for the semester and will do the rooster print
over Christmas. I have received two delightful roosters in the mail and look
forward to sending mine on after Christmas.

My questions is where do you get the great clear envelops and cardboard that
fits them?

The 911 Firemen Prints were exhibited in clearbags.com on a gallery wall made
for pushpins . More than 200 people viewed them and made comments in the
guest book. More than 30 plus sold and no one mentioned the way they were hung.

Also showed art in closed glass cases hung in the NYC Donnell Center in the
same way.

No problem, no holes in the paper.. I would do that again.

Less work for Mother!

Hi Keri!!

Great to know that you are out there making art, especially prints! Wish that
you were still in Spokane.

Greetings Gurus and mortals,
I'm back (again) attempting moku hanga printing, but leap frogged over cutting out 5 colourblocks by painting all the colours onto the same block before printing then I cut a master and printed over them.
*Is there a name for such a technique? I've uploaded a webpage that visually explains it much better.
And, of course, seasonal greetings to you all.
Yours

How about "woodblock mono-print"?
