Anna,

My all out recommendation for an oil ink additive is Miracle Gel
Reducer or the Gel Medium from Graphic Chemical, which I like even
better than MGR. I've tried everything: Setswell, EZ wipe, etc. and
the Gel stuff never gets old and crusty, you can use it down to the
very last drop. It works equally as well as adding transparent base,
but does not make the ink tacky. IMHO, it is the answer to everything.
It solves marital disputes, acts as your attorney in times of need --
well, maybe not, but it is excellent when it comes to wiping and
printing intaglio plates or modifying oil inks for relief printmaking.

Happy printing,
Sharri

I'll second Sharri's recommendation of miracle gel reducer. It works very
well. Sometimes I combine it with Setswell, depending on the consistency of
the ink.
