congrats to you and sarah
georga
when will you be in southern california again?
In another time or place i would more than likely be a fornschnider wood
cutter or if in Japan i would be a block cutter. There is something about working
with a piece of wood i just enjoy eather in carving the block for printing or
just carving it and maybe proofing it once. Wood unlike other printing
matrix's was once alive and thus each tree is different. And can chalange us in
many ways.
On framing not to beat a dead horse or even a live one I don't think of the
frame as something to hold the matt or glass but as part of the finished
piece. I add text to some of my frames by carving it into the wood. If you are
interested in seeing what i am talking about you can to to the activities part
of the baren web site and click on John Center and the pic of a one man show
will show you what i mean better than my some what limited command of the
english written word. I also like making hand printed artist books etc. My
next art thing will be doing a mail art piece that i will be sending out to
those folks on the monkey list if any one wants to send back a piece of
mail art so be it I rather enjoy the free flow of art that baren give us.
good day friends

A big Congratulations to Sarah and April for your invitation to
demonstrate in the members room at Sakura Matsuri!
Wish I could be there - perhaps you could share any photos of this nice
event!
Best regards
Bette.
