You might call a local lumberyard or othe company that does millwork and ask them if they can plane it to remove the twist. Not sure if that would work. If you have a plank with a curve in only one direction you can lay it on grass outside, cupped side down so it absorbs some moisture on that side and staightens out.

Talk about mail art with Juan Guerrero.
He is the great barenforum specialist in this.
I think it's wonderful.

Run it through a planer to remove the warp. Then clamp and glue to a piece
of 3/4 inch plywood to keep the warp from reappearing as moisture levels
change.

I really love the idea of the postcard -- the art cannot be sheathed away from the experience of the travel -- we need to see stamps, stomps, colors, signs of handling that it's endured. For inspiration check out Nick Bantock's Griffin & Sabine book trilogy, or the magazine, "Somerset Studios". A postcard would be a great way to weave in rubber stamps with more traditional processes.

I signed up for the exchange #21, but don't know if I'll be on the list or the waiting list as of yet. I'm just thrilled to find this list again after being a subscriber way back in 98.

Happy printing,
Patsy Wilson
