Printmaking Papers:

This is a selection of printmaking papers brought together from papermakers around Japan by Mr. Matsumura. All these papers (except where noted) are hand-dipped in the traditional method. They are all sized and are ready to use. They are not trimmed, and have four natural edges.

In the following list of papers, the numbered items are:

  1. Number: Matsumura san's catalogue number
  2. Name: the name of the paper
  3. Dimension: the size (in mm) horizontal first ('laid' lines run vertically)
  4. Material: 'K' = 'kozo' (mulberry), 'P' = wood pulp
  5. Drying Method: either on boards in the sun, or on a heated metal plate
  6. Thickness: given in 'monme' (larger numbers are thicker papers)
  7. Comments:
  8. Price per sheet:
  9. Quantity to order:

Note: Due to the difficulty of shipping these large pieces of paper internationally, orders must be for a minimum of ten sheets overall (mixing types is of course OK ...)
