Comments: I had the sketch for the print already, but for a larger print, when I read the discussion and
the call for #46. First I had planned a linocut, but for the smaller size I wanted to try PVC instead
because of the fine lines. The block turned out to be rather soft and not the kind I had in mind, but
somehow it worked. First I wanted to print it black, because the dress reminds me of a house-keeper
dress, but a discussion with my wife and daughter made sure that it is some kind of a summer dress.
So "we" had to decide a new colour and this should be violet. I took Daler Rowney "Georgian" with
the matching block printing medium. The paper (damp for hand printing) is a standard drawing paper,
170 g and a 1.75 x volume; so it seems like a 270 g paper. It is sold in sheets of 50 x 70 cm, I could
tear the required paper size exactly out of the sheets without any waste! For the picture itself I have
nothing to add, it looks young, fresh and pretty to me so everyone can make their own thoughts of it.
