Comment: The red torch ginger is a stately flower found in Puerto Rico's El Yunque National Rainforest. The flower is a single bloom on a stalk that reaches almost waist high; the woodcut is approximately life-size. The edition is varied (VE) because of the addition of brushed on gold pigment, which never falls exactly the same.
