Although I have been doing woodcuts before many
members of this forum were born, this is only my second hanga print.
I love the process but have lots, lots more to learn before I feel
competent. The volunteers of the Los Angeles Arboretum, Victorian
Rose Garden for the logo for their new web site commissioned the
print. I used damp, sized Hosho, DaVincci watercolors, rice paste,
gum arabic, any baren including a wooden spoon, five plates and seven
colors. Thanks to all for helping me get started in this new and
challenging method of printing and especially to Dave for this
terrific forum.
