This print was produced from three Baltic Birch
plywood blocks, half inch thicknesses. I printed with Rembrandt
and Daniel Smith oil based inks on Lana Gravure paper, on a
Laguna etching press.
The piece is about the fact of lost sleep when one becomes
new parent and how it wears on you, especially at certain
moments in a day when the caffeine has subsided and one
thinks,"God, it'd be great to grab a quick power nap." However,
since my son is dependent on me for diapers, crackers and
wrestling I choose another round of coffees.
