The Baren Exchange Portfolio Archive
March 5, 2002, I paid a visit to the Spencer Museum of Art in Lawrence, Kansas.  The Spencer is the art museum of the University of Kansas where Steve Goddard is Professor of Art History, the Senior Curator of Prints and Drawings at the Spencer Museum, and our official Baren Print Exchange archivist.  Steve's curatorial assistant, Cori Sherman was on hand as well. To visit the Spencer Museum of Art, click here; when you are done, just close the window to return to Barenforum.org.

Cori specializes in Japanese prints, and Steve not only does some pretty awesome woodworking, he also makes some excellent and very humorous wood block prints himself!  Sorry I didn't snap a picture of the proof thumb-tacked to his bulletin board, but it's a heavenly cell phone -- his submission to the American Print Alliance's  911 porfolio as part of a Baren group contribution.

The archivists, Steve Goddard and Cori Sherman receive Exchange #12

Examining the prints...  Hey!  They LIKE them !!

Here's Cori in the locked/sealed/climate controlled print room peeking out beside
the table where our Baren exchange portfolios rest after being examined for
completeness (we were missing a few prints, it turns out).
