Greetings Bareners,
I regret buying a new computer together with Windows 7 early this year. I didnt realise that my old software and linked hardware were so primitive that they would not work on the latest computers.
However, still struggling with manuals, I have uploaded my latest prints to my website.
They are the final experiments with lino/caustic soda and overprinting with Perspex ( Plexiglas.. in US? ) engraving. They are variable in standard, but I thought you may be interested to see them.
I had hoped to return to more traditional methods until I read and viewed the hyperlink and comments made on coke and kitchen foil lithography!!
Cheers

Dear,

Hope you get this on time.I'm Sorry I did not inform you about my trip to Nigeria for a program,I'm presently in Nigeria and something extremely Awful happened to me, I was robbed in a hotel where I lodged and they made away with my money, phone,Bag and other valuables. Presently my things are been held down by the hotel management due to my inability to pay the hotel bills which I currently owe, they even had to restrict my access to the hotel facilitates until outstanding bills are cleared and i don't have any money on me again,I spoke to the hotel management to know if they can allow me go out and make calls but they refused due to the fact that I have not paid my bills but they only gave me internet access so that I can make a contact.I have spoken to the embassy here but they are not responding effectively to the matter. I feel so devastated, now my passport and other belongings are been retained by the hotel management pending the time I pay my hotel bills. This is shameful,I need you to help me with a loan of 2500 to pay my hotel bills and proceed with what brought me here. Actually, i will pay back the money to you soon as I get back Home.I will appreciate whatever you can immediately assist me with.Kindly send the money through western union to my details below and please make sure you forward the western union transfer details as soon as you send the money.

Greetings all!
Exchange #49 has left the building! We had one late, late drop out, so there should be one extra of your own print in your packages. Thank you all, for your kindess and generosity. This was my first time coordinating, and all in all, it was a great experience.

Thank you Diane. It was so weird I knew something must be off. Glad it
is spam, I will use my delete button for all such posts. Too bad there
are people in this world with nothing better to do!

yes, it makes you think it is not real when you get it on 3 lists, exactly the same spam....and the person is in Nigeria.... hope no one thinks these are real. It is hard to get away from this type of thing, more and more email lists are being compromised.

We are getting afraid to download anything and if you are not computer savvy like my husband, who is now 82 and kicks the computer at least once a day, you can get stuff you sure don't want.

So for everyone, I have no plans to travel out of the country so if you get an email like that from me, just delete it. :~)
My best to all

My solution to the problem was to subscribe to Spam Arrest. All that
does is send all of those messages to an "unverified" box. Every once
in a while, when I think of it, I go to the unverified box and skim
through it. If I see something that should have come through and
didn't I can read it then. Anyone legitimate who is trying to reach
you can type in one of those squiggly words and get through to you. I
have been very happy with it. It is a shame that we have to pay to
keep these ne'er-do-wells out of our lives. If you have Mac you don't
get many of them, and I also use the Junk Mail feature, but Spam
Arrest seems to work best for me. www.spamarrest.com

Poor Jennifer,
Give me the name and phone number of the hotel, manager and closest police station.
I will arrange something so they take care of you.

Marilyn--

I've also gotten strange ones for exchanges I've not even participated in. My comments were all something to the effect: if time were money you'd make me a wealthy person. Thought someone was just having fun in their own way. But, yours look like possibly viral links. The battle never ends.

The chances of finding these people is quite possibly a thousand to one.
They are very sophisticated. Even ISP's have a very difficult time pinning down the location.

Best to be aware and understand spam messages.... they become quite apparent after awhile as they take on a format that is similar. Spelling and grammar are two obvious heads up. Asking you to go to web site to win something by filling in the question form.... this is a never never.

When there is an address as this spammer sent.... look it up in Google Map.... You will find it is the same location as a Total Petrol Station.... not a hotel, of which there was not one within 6 or 7 blocks.

These up standing people are high on gas fumes....

Long story short:
I found my scammer by writing "Scams and Art"and clicking Go. There was
the exact e-mail sent to me and the message "Beware of Tracey Coey" As I
thought.!
My area Police which I went to said to e-mail message, "Ttransaction
cancelled", and I did that right away. No one came to pick up the art the
next day
No action taken by police because they said I was out no money and I
didn't lose my art.
The e-mail messages I received had mentioned Alabama, England, Cape Town,
and Cairo.
It was about a fraudulent check sent to me of $3000 .
"They" hoped I would cash it in my bank, take out the price of my art and
give the remainder to the service which would come for the art the next
day. .I would then be responsible for that money when it was found out that
check was fraudulent.

It it smells like a SCAM...

My bunnies finally got tired of this heat and hopped out of Vegas on Friday.
They went out naked this time, that is, I sent them as post-cards without
protection with full trust in the mail system.

May be a different image that you are used to getting from me but it's been
that kind of a year.

If you have a QR-code reading app on your i-whatsit, go ahead and scan the
accompanying QR code, it's perfectly safe and will be pleasant to do so.

I guess you just have to wait and see.

cant there be a capcha setup in the comments form like there is in blogger?
It must be fairly easy to do as lots of sites use it...
