Hello All,

My name is David Frederick and I am a violin maker in Lincoln, Ne -originally from St.Louis.

My exposure to woodblock printing started with collecting prints by Werner Drewes in the 90's. I became enamored by the look of that form of art. I then started studying the process of printmaking and copying several of Drewes's prints for personal use. The desire grew to learning all I could of the Bauhaus school and the early / mid century prints of the abstract artists.

The style of my original prints lean towards the abstract but by no means rest solely there in.

I look forward to growing more in my art endeavors as well as helping others grow in theirs and most of all, being an active participant in the exchanges .

Hello all. I have a print and technology project I've launched through
IndieGoGo to support Organ Donation. The project requires the use of a
CNC router to aid in the production of the work. I was inspired when I
saw Mike Lyon's website a few years ago and saw the amazing things his
machine was capable of producing. Anyway here's a link and please share
with those that may be interested.

Subject: Two more citizens from East and West
Posted by: Maria

Sharri LaPierre from Vancouver Washinton USA (West Coast) has this to say about her block:

My City of the World would have acres and acres of green spaces with tall trees and playgrounds for children.  The city will be filled with the delightful sounds of breezes in the trees and children happily playing on monkey bars, swings, teeter-totters, merry-go-rounds and all kinds of colorful playground equipment.  My block depicts my granddaughter when she was 4 yrs. old playing on monkey bars at a neighborhood park in Madison, WI.

And our delightful Carol Lyons all the way from the East Coast in Irvington New York USA, sends her Bird on the Wing to New York City and a cleverly scanned proof!
