Bea mentioned the bookmark exchange out of Belgium. Bea, I was in the one for 2001 There were several Bareners who signed up for that one. Andy English was in it as well as Jeanne Norman Chase, Princess Rashid, Ray Esposito, David Mohallatee, Marilynn Smith, Kat Pukas, and others from the USA who may also have been Bareners at that time. Sorry for posting twice in a day, but I just tried to contact Monica re Exchange #49 and my message couldn't send. Is that link working? Anyone else have trouble writing to Monica? I probably am going to drop out of Exchange #49 because I want to be in Exchange #50 and not on a waiting list, hoping to get in.

Baren, I'm sorry for posting three times! I figured out which link for emailing the coordinator does not seem to be working right on the Exchange #49 page -- http://barenforum.org/exchange/exchange_49/exchange_49.html

I tried both (Under the heading "Essentials" there is one link beside the third bullet and there is another under the heading "Mailing beside "Contact your coordinator"). They each appear to be the same email address, but one works and the other doesn't for me. The one that works is under the heading "Essentials" Maybe the Manager could check those links and see what has happened there. Also, maybe it's something quirky with my own computer, so maybe someone else should give the one under "Mailing" and "Contact Your Coordinator" a try.

Why not make the tiny prints exchange be Exchange #50, sort of an
anniversary exchange. No limit to number of participants in celebration of
Baren's 50th!

As in other special exchanges, as many as sign up can participate and we
have either dual coordinators or a coordinator with insane organization
skills collate.

I participated in exchange 18a which was small prints. I don't remember all the details, but maybe there was part 18b, too? (an idea if a lot of people want to make small prints again, now) These prints were about 2 inches by 4 inches. You can still look this exchange up, I'm sure.

I'd be up for a small print exchange, smaller than the 2 by 4 inches would be interesting. Suzi SM

Hi Bareners!
This was to be the week I started asking for suggestions for our celebratory Exchange #50, but I have been a little slow on the uptake as I've been down with pneumonia for the past 10 days. I'm so glad to read that you have indeed gone ahead and come up with ideas on your own! I think it goes without saying that the majority of the noise on the subject has been heartily in favor of making it a "tiny" print (in scale, that is). I also love the suggestion of allowing everyone that would like to participate to do so, not setting the limit at 30. Those participating in the previous exchange would not have to wait for a spot to be available either. We may have to divide into smaller groups in order to accommodate everyone, but as we're all members, we should all be encouraged to take part in this milestone without limitation. (***Signups open up July 1, 2011.***)

One other question that I was going to put out to the membership: Do we want to have a theme for the exchange to go along with the unusual size?
Vote yes or no. If you vote yes, do you have a suggestion for a theme?
I'll try to keep a tally and we'll go from there.

Ok. I'm done. Back to bed.
